ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Ginza, Tokyo: Analysis One, is a mapping analysis exercise overviewing Ginza, Tokyo. Beginning with an axonometric drawing of Ginza, this drawing dissects a selection of buildings constructed fifty years before the drawing was completed. Buildings were selected based on their public natures and circulation, eventually compared through a tracery of lines that juxtapose their internal systems to each other, streets and context. Additionally, an analysis of an empty building was layered onto the drawing in an effort to collate the facade to movement. Reproduction print. Medium of original: pencil, ink, & digital coloring on watercolor and trace paper.
