ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This print illustrates a nature-based settlement for a reality show in rural Spain – a part of Europe that is deeply affected by severe depopulation and unfavourable climate conditions. The settlement’s design is inspired by YouTuber housewives and their collective knowledge and joy of running a home. This drawing explores how architectural and urban designs can encourage and nurture collective lifestyle changes, whilst harnessing the potential offered by streaming services and social media in disseminating knowledge and as platforms of influence for everyday practices worldwide.
